Ever since the premiere of Campaign 4, new Dungeon Master Brennan Mulligan has kept fans guessing with rich lore, a colorful mix of heroes, and a gripping narrative featuring divine entities, evil spirits, and dark forces growing in strength within the city.
Heads-up: Revealing details for the latest installment of the new season follow below.
The Soldiers Table Unveiled
The latest chapter concluded with a major cliffhanger and revealed the initial group of adventurers who will branch out from the main group to undertake their separate journey, apart from the remaining groups.
This warrior group consists of Teor (played by the voice actor), the agile character (the talented performer), the fierce warrior (Whitney Moore), the cleric (Sam Riegel), and Kattigan (Robbie).
The Reason for Division
With a large ensemble, it was obvious from the beginning that maintaining everyone at one table would be unfeasible.
This explains, the initial installments of the new season serve as an Prelude, weaving together the individual narratives before splitting into three distinct groups: Fighters, Schemers, and Seekers.
Characteristics of the Warrior Group
As described by the DM, the warrior group is for participants who enjoy a traditionally charged combat and conflict-driven narrative style where peaceful solutions are scarce.
At first glance, characters like the squeamish cleric Wicander might look out of place, but the events of the latest installment demonstrate why these specific adventurers are best suited for the combat party.
Reasons to Leave
To begin with, the group understands precisely where to proceed after a brutal opening clash with The Crow Keepers.
A former ally of the deceased character—whose demise kicked off the campaign’s events—used The Crow Keepers for his personal gain, invading the secret base, striking the character, and stealing all the powerful objects to auction.
Casimir then paid off his debts and fled to a secure base in Gormalay, Timmony, north of the urban center, with Cyd Pridesire hot on his heels.
Individual Reasons
Moreover, each adventurer has a specific drive to depart the metropolitan area:
- The rogue, as the close ally and best friend, desires retribution.
- The knowledgeable figure knows the region and advises that it is a hostile location.
- Tyranny and Wicander, having defied his house’s orders to eliminate Teor and instead freed him, have no other options.
- However, their reputation as key figures in House Halovar could enable the team reach locations they typically wouldn’t be able to.
- Additionally, The fighter pledged a life debt to The cleric for his deliverance and will now go with him everywhere.
Wanted and Hunted
In addition, all of them are sought by the rulers that govern the setting for a range of causes, making remaining behind dangerous:
- The rogue and The character are notorious outlaws.
- The warrior and Wicander betrayed the powerful family and the horde of evil beings they are allied with.
- Teor is targeted for elimination by the clan.
This means them no alternative but to head to the remote area in pursuit of the antagonist.
What’s Next?
According to episode three’s follow-up content, we find out that the Soldiers table will not appear next week, leaving the remaining eight participants to assemble the Questers and Planners parties.
Fans can look forward to finding out which adventurers will be in which group in the season’s concluding setup installment, available to watch on October 24.
