Nineteen of Medvedev's 21 titles have been achieved on hard courts
A resurgent the Russian player claimed his first title for 882 days with success over Corentin Moutet in the Almaty Open title decider.
The Russian, a former top-ranked player, has experienced a difficult season, managing just one match at the major tournaments and experiencing a meltdown at the US Open.
Medvedev's unpredictability on the professional circuit - and issues with his serving in especial - caused him exiting of the world's top 10 and finally separating with former trainer Cervara.
Presently collaborating with Johansson and Rohan Goetzke, Medvedev has consistently progressed in the last few weeks - peaking in a closely contested competitive victory over challenger Moutet.
This represents Medvedev's maiden title after the Rome competition and maiden on a hard surface from March of 2023.
Victory also signifies Medvedev has achieved 21 titles at 21 different competitions.
"For the first time I'm at a event with my two daughters simultaneously, so to win a trophy is especially meaningful," said ranked player Daniil Medvedev.
"This victory is in tribute of my younger daughter my daughter, because the maiden victory I achieved when my first daughter her name was born was for her."
Medvedev, the past champion, had been defeated in his last six finals, featuring in Halle earlier this year.
Medvedev's counter-punching approach and regular reactions on court had prompted commentators to question if his capacity to play at the elite level was concluded.
But the athlete has altered his approach in the past month, striving to approach the net and compete assertively, backed up by an enhanced serving game.
He fought back from a deficit in the first set against the tricky opponent, winning four of the concluding five points to take the lead.
Both players swapped breaks in the second set before the challenger, attempting for his maiden professional championship, gained dominance to push for a third set.
He saved four initial opportunities in a competitive deciding set before Medvedev secured a break to that score to close out the victory.
Suitably, he earned the win with a point at the net, with his opponent unable to handle a volley after over two and a half hours.
